Cardinals suck.

If the Cubs suck and the Cubs beat the Cards 3 out of 4 then the Cardinals must royally suck.

Cubs are going down fast.

This is sad. But this is what being a Cubs fan is all about. September is around the corner and we are going to be in the bleachers having fun cheering on a team not going to the playoffs. Some things change, some things stay the same.

The Cubs traded Jody Gerut for Lawton. I like the move. Lawton can lead off and is a two time all star.

Cubs are pitching Rusch tonight against the Red Sox and having Koronka throw tommorrow against the Marlins who might be a Wild Card later this Summer. Which series is more important at this time of the year.

Cubs next trade?

Now that Hawkins is gone, what is the Cubs next move? Someone told me they might try and get Adam Dunn. I am all over that. Give the Reds Corey Patterson and Sergio Mitre for him.

Was Juan Uribe's move bush league?

In the Cubs/Sox Game this past Sunday - Uribe held him hands up to Derrek Lee and yelled foul ball on a fair ball. Thoughts?

I think they should use him in the 7th or 8th like Wuertz and slowly see if he can still handle the 9th.

Do you like Dusty Baker?

How do you think he is doing this year? I don't think it is his fault. He is weird and makes dumb moves but the Cubs are missing a lot of their good players and are just a few games under .500.

What should Jim Hendry do?

I think they might have to trade Felix Pie, Angel Guzman, or Brian Dopirak for some bullpen help. Or even if the Cubs want to throw in Wellemeyer, Wuertz, or Leicester that is fine with me.
